Joseph Awinongya’s Full interview with Rick Ross

Joseph Awinongya Jr has a passion for hard-hitting interviews. At 15 he is honing his craft, building up his reputation as one of the most insightful and inquisitive interviewers in the business. So, when he got the opportunity to interview the real “Freeway” Rick Ross, he knew he had to pull out all the stops.

Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, was a notorious drug dealer in the 1980s and early 1990s. He was eventually arrested and sentenced to life in prison, where he spent more than 20 years behind bars. Ross never lost his entrepreneurial spirit. He started managing boxers, and he dreams of finding the next Floyd Mayweather Jr. and making him even greater.

“Freeway” Rick Ross the Plug

Joseph Awinongya Jr knew that this was the story he wanted to tell. He wanted to get inside the mind of a man who had been at the top of the drug world and had been brought down by the law. He wanted to understand what drove Ross to become a drug kingpin, and how he was able to rebuild his life after prison.

So, he set up his new web series, 12 Rounds with Jojo, and reached out to Ross’s team to schedule an interview. After a few weeks of back-and-forth, he finally got the green light.

On the day of the interview, Joseph arrived early at the studio. He had done his research and was ready to ask the tough questions. When Ross arrived, Joseph could see the wear and tear of a life lived on the streets. But he also saw a man who had learned from his mistakes and was ready to make a new name for himself.

The interview started off with Joseph asking Ross about his drug past. Ross was frank and honest, admitting to everything and holding nothing back. He spoke about the thrill of the game, the money, and the power he had amassed. He talked about the risks he took and the people he hurt.

But Ross also talked about the price he paid for his success. He spoke about the years he spent in prison, the loneliness, and the regret. He talked about how he had to start over and build a new life from scratch.

Rick Ross on Mayweather and Boxing

As the interview went on, Joseph asked Ross about his new ventures. He wanted to know more about Ross’s interest in boxing and his dreams of managing the next Floyd Mayweather Jr. Ross spoke passionately about his love of the sport and his belief that he could spot talent like no one else.

He also talked about his new book, Freeway Rick Ross: The Untold Autobiography,  and movie coming out, which chronicled his life story and his journey from drug dealer to prisoner to entrepreneur. Ross said he wanted to inspire others to learn from his mistakes and to never give up on their dreams.

The interview ended on a high note, with Ross thanking Joseph for his insightful questions and Joseph thanking Ross for his honesty and candor. It was a moment that both of them would remember for a long time to come.

As Joseph walked out of the studio, he knew that he had just interviewed one of the most fascinating people he had ever met. He knew that he had a story that would resonate with people all over the world, and he couldn’t wait to share it with his audience.

And so, as he sat down to edit the footage from the interview, Joseph felt a sense of excitement and pride. He had just completed one of the best interviews of his career, and he knew that it was only the beginning. The world was waiting for more of his hard-hitting interviews, and he was ready to deliver.
